About the Hosts

Amy Baumgardner

Co-Host

You won't find a bigger advocate for mental health awareness than Amy. Her marriage to the love of her life, who battled a lifelong Bipolar Disorder, came to an abrupt end when the illness ended his life in 2019. She advocates for those who are overlooked or shamed due to a mental illness diagnosis. This is especially important as she lives with her own diagnosis of depression and generalized anxiety disorder.

Amy and Sarah, while unqualified, have spent decades with their own therapists for all of life's seasons. They speak both on air and in person to focus on fostering an inclusive environment of self love and acceptance. All while living without a filter because life is too short to hide from our truths.

Sarah's degree in Psychology got her initially intrigued by the human mind but the real deep dive began when she was able to put words to her own diagnosis of major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. Her struggles started early when she experienced a barrage of trauma including the loss of her brother as a child, her father as a young adult and her more mother recently. She faced her own mortality with a breast cancer diagnosis at 36 prompting her to become an advocate for those suffering from trauma related depression and anxiety.
